Gary L. McConahy

Age 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died at home after a courageous battle with colon cancer on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley McConahy; children, Sandra L. Herrera and husband, Michael S., Mark A. McConahy and wife, Connie, all of Albuquerque, and Lisa A. Ingram and husband, Dean of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Jarrett A. McConahy, Kyle L. McConahy, both of Albuquerque, Rebecca A. Ingram-Bryant and husband, Quinn of Gunnison, CO, and Zachary A. Ingram of Aurora, CO; sister, Carol Wills and husband, Richard of Tucson, AZ; brother, Larry G. McConahy and wife, Linda of Longmont, CO; and nieces and nephews. Gary was in the wholesale and retail gas and oil business for 53 years. Mr. McConahy was a longtime member of Del Norte Baptist Church. He flew model airplanes with the Park Flyers. A service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at Del Norte Baptist Church, 5800 Montgomery Blvd. NE. Private interment will take place.
