Gary Martinez

Gary Jerome Martinez, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Gary was born on Tuesday, December 10, 1963 to Joe and Frances Martinez in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and resided there until his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Frances Martinez; brother, Bobby; sister, Kathy Martinez; and his aunt, Anna. He is survived by his nephew, Robert Martinez; his nieces, Denise Erickson, and husband, Matthew, Lorraine Martinez, and boyfriend, Alex Medina; nephews, Robert Martinez, Tyler, Zach, and Mason; and nieces, Madison, Alyssa, and Riley.

He was the kindest soul, and loved everyone he was in contact with, even if it were for a short time. He made an impact in everyone’s life no matter the circumstance. Gary loved everyone, and never judged. He cared genuinely, and always made it a point to ask if everyone was ok. His voice, smile, and warm heart will be missed beyond measure.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019, 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside. A Mass will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019, 9:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church at 9502 4th St. NW. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
