Gail Angelo Diamond passed away at home in Albuquerque on July 2, 2016, after a long illness. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Irvin Diamond; her daughter, Kristie Diamond of San Diego; her son, Patrick Diamond of New York City; grandchildren, Henry, Joseph, Charlotte, Penelope, and Nicolas; and sister, Pat Streib of Boise. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Angelo of Rochester, NY.
Gail is a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School, class of 1961 in Rochester, NY and the University of New Mexico. Gail was dedicated to her family. She and Irvin loved to travel to visit grandchildren and to discover new places. She was an avid cook, reader of mysteries, and good friend to many. As her health permitted, she volunteered for several organizations including the Rio Grande Bio Park and the League of Women Voters.
At her request, private family services will be held at a later date. To celebrate the life of Gail Diamond the family has made arrangements for memorial gifts to be made to the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Research & Treatment Center.
