Fusako Jaramillo (Chiko), age 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1988, entered eternal life Wednesday, November 22, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph Cresencio Jaramillo and son, Joseph (Joey) Shokichi Jaramillo. Chiko was born in Mie Ken Japan on March 20, 1939. After the Second World War, she and her family moved to Okinawa, Japan returning to their ancestral home, where many years later she met and married Joe on April 28, 1964. Always a loving and compassionate wife and mother she experienced the transfers and separations of a Marine’s wife, lovingly keeping the home fires burning often in difficult and challenging circumstances. She was an awesome spouse, mother, homemaker, and BOY could she cook. She leaves more friends than enemies for she was always forgiving, compassionate, and empathetic. Many babies were swaddled in her hand knitted blankets that she lovingly made as gifts for the newborns. She enjoyed gardening and sewing and being with family and friends. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, December 5, 2017, 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of the Resurrection, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
