Fred Trujillo, age 44, from Edgewood, NM was a man with a tender and caring spirit. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend who surely was influential in his wife being who she is today.
He touched many lives with his dedication and commitment to everything he was involved in. His compassion made him an inspirational leader in the field of retail management. He never asked anyone to do something he would not do himself. He always thought of others around him with understanding and empathy. He would say that he had huge wings and he would put anyone under them, to help or care for others.
While being on a plethora of medications, which altered both his physical and mental stability, he was able to recognize that he wasn’t himself. He would say to his loved ones, “I am sorry, I know I am not myself.” So, even in his hard time he tried to express care for others.
Fred fought so very hard in all things in life. His time of illness, over the past year, was no different. He fought until he couldn’t fight any longer! He fell asleep and went home peacefully to the loving arms of God early Sunday morning May 22, 2022.
He is survived by his loving wife Cassie Trujillo, mother Isabel Bustos, father Keith Guibert, parents-in-laws Caryn and Roy Elmore, siblings; Lisa Trujillo, Laura Trujillo, Amanda Guibert and Chris Guibert; siblings (in-law) Casey Harrelson, Heather Westbrook, Mike Elmore (Kim) and Pat Elmore (Jennifer); and multiple nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers and long-time friends: Milo Mclemore, Brendon Sucher, Steve Duran and Alfred Urias.
There will be a Memorial celebration of Fred’s life at French-Lomas on June 4, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, we know Fred would appreciate donations to El Ranchito de los Niños or the SPCA.
