Frederick William Sexton, 70, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a long illness. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Debra Jean Sexton, his 3 daughters, Anna Linvill, Aubrey Jackson, and Amy Sexton, 2 sons-in-law, 4 grandchildren, 5 siblings, and numerous nephews and nieces. Fred was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. The fifth of 8 children born to William and Marie Fuchs Sexton, he was a faithful Christian, a respected intellectual, and a passionate devotee of art, music and nature. A Navy veteran and graduate of the University of Arkansas College of Engineering, he worked for 37 years at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His intelligence, kindness, and generosity of spirit have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. A memorial service is being held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:00 am, at City Church of Albuquerque, 5300 2nd Street NW. The family would like to thank the Care Team at The Beehive Homes of Albuquerque for their compassionate care of Fred.
