Freddie Paul Hawley, Jr. born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 30, 1951 passed away peacefully in Albuquerque, NM on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. He was a kind, generous and loving person with a great sense of humor. He dedicated his life to his entire family and a was always a loyal friend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane of 40 years. Also surviving him are his mother, Joyce Thomason; two sisters, Georgia Hawley-Tynes and Tracey Cranford; his children, Margaret Thompson and her partner, Dee Adams and son, Christopher Hawley and wife, Jessica; two stepchildren, Brian Dausses and his wife, AJ and Dawn Amdor and her husband, Matt; grandchildren, Melika T. Thompson, Justin Hawley, Jason Dausses, Kyle Dausses, and Ashley Amdor; and one great-grandchild, Leighton A. Sutton. His loving family also included sister-in-law, Barbara Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
He worked for Kern County Mental Health as an administrator and loved his work and all of the wonderful people he worked with over the years. He retired in 2008 and became a full-time traveler with his wife and dogs. Diane and he became gypsies in an RV and traveled across the states and explored many places in Canada in the last 15 years. This was a wonderfully happy time. It was an incredible journey with many lasting memories.
Fred found his love and new purpose for life in Alaska. His eyes sparkled and he would constantly smile when fishing, whether it was standing in a river or casting from a boat. Almost all of his family and friends remember him for his love of fishing. His wish would be that everyone lives their life as fully and happily as he did. This loving man will be greatly missed by all.
