Freda Gayle Barnett

BARNETT, FREDA GAYLE Age 80, of Rio Rancho, who was a true Angel among us, passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Freda worked for more than 35 years with Diamond Publishing Co. as a graphic artist, making many friends along the way who loved and trusted her. She loved traveling and especially her trips to Laughlin, NV. Freda is survived by her mother, Nettie Maples; sons, Michael D. (Jeanette) Barnett, Steve F. (Gale) Barnett and Hal Barnett; sister, Fosteen Sergeant; brothers, Carl (Leslie) Maples, and Tommy (Shirley) Maples; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Barnett; and her father, Foster William Maples. A committal service with Air Force honors will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
