Fred Norman Perea

Fred Norman Perea, age 67, a life-long resident of New Mexico, died on Thursday, May 31, 2018.

He is survived by his wife, Baoxia Wu; mother, Onecima Perea; daughter, Michelle Perea; sisters, Elizabeth Carr, Nancy Simma, and Pearl Perea; brothers, Felix Perea, and Daniel Perea; nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his father, Adenago Perea.

He was born in 1951 in El Cerro, NM and graduated from Los Lunas High School.  Norman proudly served in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command during the Vietnam Era for six years.  He retired from Sandia Laboratories as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed gardening, working on old cars, and more than anything spending time with his friends and family. Fred was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018, 10:30 a.m. at FRENCH – Lomas.  Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at 12:45 p.m.
