Francis (“Frankie”) Joseph Hargis was born on February 10, 2002 to Amy Martino and Darrin Hargis with great joy.
He leaves behind his loving sister, Rosalia Hargis, and devoted grandparents, Anthony and Norma Argo and Phil and Dianne Hargis. He also leaves behind: Uncle David Hargis and cousin Aidan and his mother, Teresa Hargis, and Aunt Delise Hargis and cousins Brittany and Jonathan, as well as his Uncle Christo and Aunt Lesley Morris and cousin Leo. Though not all can be named here, an extended community of family, close friends from his childhood, teachers, and mentors are also deeply missing him.
Frankie was a smart and curious little boy who began his learning at preschool with St. John’s United Methodist Church (also participating in Vacation Bible School there) and eventually attended Eldorado High School though his Senior year. In addition to his brilliant mind, Frankie was creative, artistic and musical. He could play guitar, piano and any instrument he took a notion to explore. One of his favorite places for music was with the Rock and Rhythm Band and Rock and Rhythm Youth Orchestra.
As a kid, Frankie played Little League baseball and loved building with Legos, creating short videos with them and his Bionicles. His gift for storytelling spread from his childhood into his teenage years where he weaved his imagination into video games that he played and created. He dreamt of following this talent for stories into film and directing. The kind and gentle spirit of Frankie will be missed by all who have known him.
