FRANK WILLIS WYANT, SR.Frank Willis Wyant, 95, died May 18, 2013, in Albuquerque. Born Oct. 25, 1917, in Orlando, OK, he is survived by 4 children, Frank (Mary) Wyant, Jr., Albuquerque; Jeanie (Bob Reed) Wyant, Fayetteville, AR; Susan (Andre Greenburger) Wyant, Colrain, MA; & Ann (Charles) Halsted, Davis, CA; 4 grandchildren, Madeline and Meredith Wyant, Albuquerque; Zachary Wyant, Oklahoma City, OK; and Jay Wyant-King, Colrain; and a great-grandchild, Roland King, Colrain. Willis earned a B.S. at Oklahoma A&M College and worked in Tulsa, OK, as a financial professional at Douglas Aircraft, Midwestern Drillers, Dunham & Wyant (as co-owner), and Allied Bearings Supply, from which he retired in 1984. He was preceded in death by Dolores B. Wyant, his wife of nearly 60 years. Over the years, he displayed diverse skills as a photographer, a storyteller, a woodworker, a repository of useful advice ("if all else fails, read the instructions"), and a tenor who remembered the words of every song. He was a loving husband, a proud father and grandfather, and a compassionate observer of nature, human and otherwise. Services will be private.
