On Easter Sunday, after a courageous 5-year battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Frank, at the age of 84, was welcomed into Heaven by his son, Erick Robinson; parents, Margaret and Frank I. Robinson, Jr.; and many other relatives who preceded him in death. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Frank was born in Greenwood, South Carolina and lived numerous places before settling down in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Dinah Robinson. They had a love that people dream of. He proposed after they had been dating for two weeks and wasn't interested in renewing vows as he said he meant it the first time. He was a prime example of a devoted, hardworking man. He retired in 1999 after working for almost 40 years at General Electric. He took full advantage of retirement, rarely waking up early ever again and more often staying up until 4am watching TV. He had a love of Velveeta cheese, ketchup and Coca Cola.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tammy Halliburton (Donn) and their children, Nathan (Elora), Danelle (Toy), Nicholas (Ranee), Mikayah (Luciano), Bethany (Joey), Brittany, and Jacob (Crystal) and their families; daughter, Joy Collins (Adam) and their children, Cora and Tessa; sisters, Kathy Kuehn (Steve) and Nancy Neel (Steve); and soon to be 11 great-grandchildren. We love you so much, Frank/Dad/Opa and look forward to seeing you again.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Lomas, with a reception to follow. The family asks that any donations be made to Fauna Haven Animal Sanctuary in Stanardsville, VA.
