Frank Joseph Maklary Jr.

Frank J. Maklary Jr., 89, beloved husband, and father was called to his eternal resting place on Friday, February 28, 2020. Frank was born on Thursday, January 1, 1931, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Frank Maklary Sr., and Elizabeth Maklary. Frank is survived by his loving wife of seventy years, JoAnn Yvonne Maklary; daughters, Kathryn Cekala and husband Jay of Enfield, Connecticut, Susan Anderson of Houston, Texas; son, Frank Maklary III and wife Tracy of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and his daughter, the late Deborah Maklary. Papa will be deeply missed by his eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Frank was a Korean War veteran, honorably serving his country for twenty years in the United States Air Force between 1948 and 1968. Frank and JoAnn had many tours of duty including serving with NATO forces overseas in France. After retiring from the Air Force, Frank owned his business operating a Texaco gas station in Bridgeport, CT as well as working for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT as an electrician. Frank and JoAnn retired in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1977. A Memorial Service will be Friday, March 6, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
