Frank Almanza Jr., died February 21, 2024, in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on July 23, 1937 to Francisco and Felis (Ponce) Almanza.
Frank joined the United States Navy and served for 4 years. He worked for the Kansas Department of Corrections in Hutchinson and retired after 28 years of service.
Frank enjoyed playing golf and watching sports events on TV and coaching his 2 sons in Little League Baseball. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Hutchinson, Kansas.
On March 19, 1965, he married the love of his life, Rumaldita (Romey) Serna, in Albuquerque, NM. Shortly afterwards, the moved to Hutchinson, Kansas.
Frank is survived by his wife, Romey, 2 sons, Daniel and his wife, Kaye, and Christopher and his wife, Ying. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Fischer, wife, Jayden and Ellen, and husband, Logan Hanerhoff. He is also survived by his sisters, Lupe Sanchez, Mary Salas and a brother, Raymond Almanza.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, and brothers.
