Francisco Ortiz

Francisco (Frankie, Frank) Ortiz, age 74, beloved father; the BEST grandpa ever; the man, the myth, the legend; brother; uncle; cousin, and friend, passed away on June 4, 2017. Frank was known for his love, kindness, and humor. He was so passionate about his family, his church, and those Lobos. He liked to travel (he didn’t take too kindly of his “suitcase” being robbed), make his occasional visit to the casino, and spend time with his family and grandchildren. The more people around the merrier. He didn’t know a stranger, everyone was his friend.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Jo Edmund; his children, Aaron (Terri), Theodore (Bree), Angelica (William), and Kathy; his grandchildren, Andrew, Brehnden, Dominic, Santiago, Rachel, Diego, Isabella, and baby Armstrong. He is also survived by his sisters, Maggie (Jerry), Lucille, Josie (Kenny), Rosalie (Cecil), Jibbs, Patty, and Becky; and his brother, Michael. He also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Francisco was preceded in death by his mother and father, Eufemia and Amadeo Ortiz; and his brother, Sam Ortiz.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, June 12, 2017, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 13, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
