Francis Claude Jenkins

Francis "Frank" Jenkins, 94, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. He was born Friday, March 11, 1927 to Clarence and Alice Jenkins. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Maxine; brother, Clifford and wife, Carol; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Butler and Ruth Hoffman; brother-in-law, John Hoffman; son, Rick and wife, Jean; daughter, Judy and husband, Bob; two foster-daughters, Gail and husband, John, and Sheri and husband, Jim; eight grandchildren and their spouses; 31 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Frank served in the Navy Seabees during WWII. He was a humble man, and he loved the Lord. He had many interests. He worked as a mechanic, hairdresser, builder, and entrepreneur. He was generous and patient and spent much of his time teaching family and friends from his vast knowledge. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to lend a hand. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH-University. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, 9:30 a.m., at First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque, 6400 Golf Course Rd NW 87120. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, with a lunch reception to follow at the church. For anyone who would like to be part of the funeral but cannot join us in person, the service will be live streamed on the First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque's Facebook page.
