Francis "Earl" DeLozier, 93, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024. Earl was born February 27, 1930, in Trenton, New Jersey, to R.J. and Mary DeLozier. A graduate of Trenton Catholic Boys High School and the University of Albuquerque, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1951. Earl served during the Korean War with his first permanent assignment at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ, as an aircraft engine technician. After 24 years and several assignments, including three years at Goose AB, Labrador, he retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant. Following retirement, he continued his public service with the Air Force Audit Agency and the Accounting and Finance Office at Kirtland AFB. Earl was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of the Shrine of St. Bernadette. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Trudy (86) in 2019 to whom he was married for 64 years. He was also predeceased by his two brothers Blair DeLozier (wife Jean), Robert DeLozier (wife Marie) both of Florida, and his grandson Patrick DeLozier.
He is survived by five children: Daniel (wife Lanie) DeLozier of South Carolina, Gregory (wife Inga) DeLozier of Nevada, Thomas DeLozier of New Mexico, Andrew (wife Anna) DeLozier of Arizona and Mary Beth DeLozier Debevec of New Mexico. He was beloved by his eleven grandchildren: Sarah (husband Ben), Ashley, Amy (husband Alex), Michelle (husband Dedrick), Patrick (deceased), Kaylynn, Eric, Jacob (wife Karina), Carly, Samantha, and Matteo. He was also blessed by his seven great-grandchildren: Caleb, Evelyn, Ava, Ari, Nevaeh, Raehgan and Madison.
A funeral mass for Earl will be held on February 29, 2024, at 10:00am, at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
