Frances "Frankie" Knaack

Frances “Frankie” Knaack, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2017. She was born August 19, 1931 in Chicago, IL, born to Guy and Ann Richards (Nelson).

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bert Knaack; her sisters, Marilyn Shimkus and Joan Bourget; and her grandson, Nicholas Gonzales. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Daily and husband, Conner, Sandra Gonzales, Christine Spring and husband, Jeff, and Susan Curry and husband, Foy; and her son, Bert “BJ” Knaack. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean and wife, Marietta, Anthony, Tracy, Lindsey, Justin, Ryan and wife, Holly, and Natalie; and great-grandchildren, Damacio, Noelle, Aiden, Logan, Azalea; and many nieces and nephews.

Frankie was dearly loved by her family and friends who will cherish the memories of her good nature, her courage, and her strength. She forever loved the warmth of the Albuquerque sunshine, the food and culture of the Southwest, and had a passion for dessert. She deeply appreciated the love and support of her friends, especially Gail Ranshaw and Mary Sanchez, both of Albuquerque.

She will forever be remembered by her family as a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Saying goodbye is very hard, we will miss you Frankie, but we know that you are with God, and at peace.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, October 2, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87109.  For those who wish, flowers will be received at this address.
