Age 90, died at home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on December 6, 2012. Frances was born on March 5, 1922 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Bill and Josephine Nabors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marie Alvey; her brother, Bill Jo Nabors and her husband, Myron W. (Red) Reed. She is survived by her three children, Linda and husband, Steve Radigan, Barbara Reed and husband, Gary Davison, and Kirby Reed; grandchildren, Michael Radigan and wife, Rhonda, William Radigan and wife, Nicole, Meg Radigan and husband, Jon Blaich, and Ryan Davison-Reed and eight great grandchildren, Malia, Reed, Emmaline, Charlotte, James, Joshua, Anna, and Josiah. Frances graduated from high school in Wichita Falls and received a bachelor's degree from Texas State College for Women (now Texas Women's University) in Denton, Texas. She worked at Sheppard Air Field during WWII. She moved to Albuquerque in 1945 with her parents. Here she met Myron (Red) Reed at a 20-30 Club New Year's Eve event. On February 14, 1946 they were married at the First Baptist Church. Frances was a longtime member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church and of a devoted bridge group of Martha Clark Barron (now deceased), Betty Sharrer, and Sally Bryan. A Memorial Service to celebrate Frances' life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd. SE, 87106. Frances's charitable interests included the Roadrunner Food Bank, the National Wildlife and Sierra Club, the local PBS, her church (Immanuel Presbyterian) and the Barrett House ministries that works locally with abused and battered women.
