Forrest Strong, 28, beloved son, grandson and nephew was called to his eternal resting place on April 7, 2020. He entered this world on August 13, 1991, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, born to Jason Strong and Lori Day. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joe Day; his father; his grandmother, Linda Smith-Sleeman and grandfather, Doug Sleeman; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Forrest was a kind and caring young man who loved to hike and spend time with his high school friends. Forrest also self-taught himself to play guitar which he was very good at. Forrest achieved his associates degree and was working towards his bachelors degree in nursing. He was such a hardworking and dedicated individual who excelled at everything he did and often worked two jobs at once while still pursuing his nursing degree.
In his downtime, which was not very often, Forrest loved to read books and was always striving to learn whatever he could. He was quick to learn about electronics and so willing to help any and everyone he needed help. But Forrest also had a humorous side he would first tease you about not knowing what to do and then jump right in to help. He was an active gamer, and he also loved to workout to stay healthy and active.
Forrest always strived to do the very best he could in any and everything he set his mind on. He will always be remembered as a caring, kind and gentle soul who would take the shirt off his back for anyone. He loved nature, sports, his job and pursuing his degree in nursing. He treated everyone he met with such great respect and immense kindness. Forrest also had a kind spot in his heart for all animals and would do anything he could for them.
Forrest will be greatly missed, and he will forever be in our hearts.
