FLOYD R. CORREAFloyd was born on April 9, 1944 in Mesita, NM, third oldest child of 14 to Joseph K. Correa and Eunice Jaye Correa, and was peacefully and gently led by his Lord to his heavenly home on September 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers, Joseph and TJ, and sisters, Teresa Ann, Sharon, and Phyllis Jean. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, his best friend and partner in life for 46 years; beloved sons, Mario and wife, Monica and Orlando and wife, Shawn; and beloved grandchildren, Kainoa and Melia. He is also survived by his brothers, Dale and Mike and wife, Francine, sisters, Lori and husband, Manuel, Jan and husband, Richard, Eva and husband, Jonas, Marilyn and husband, Alex, and Darlene and Jolene; brothers-in-law, Richard and wife, Lila and Max and wife, Eva; sisters-in-law, Teresa, Rose, and Martha; and many loving nieces and nephews. Floyd served as the Pueblo of Laguna's youngest Governor at the age of 30. He also served on numerous Boards, including serving as the Chairman of the Board for the Laguna Development Corporation. Floyd loved the outdoors, especially hunting. He was admired and respected by his many other surviving relatives, friends, and colleagues who loved him for his patient, gentle, humble spirit, his generosity and quiet wisdom and strength. The love in our hearts for him will live on forever. Rosary will be recited Monday, September 17, 2012, 6:30 p.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Friends and family may visit at Risen Savior one hour prior to the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 18, 2012, 10:00 a.m., also at Risen Savior Catholic Community. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
