Ninety one years ago, on February 15, 1922, in the beautiful city of Santa Rosalia, Baja California, Mexico, a child was born to Manuel Rodriguez and Florentina Alarid-Rodriguez. The parents named her Florentina. She was the eighth child born to the Rodriguez-Alarid family. When the young Florentina was only one year old, her parents moved the family to the state of Sinaloa, Mexico. She lived in the town of Angostura, Sinaloa, Mexico for twenty years. At the age of twenty-one she met a young and handsome young man by the name of Miguel Rafael Gaxiola. The young couple married on October 30, 1943 in Angostura, Sinaloa. The couple moved to the town of El Salitre, Sinaloa and later decided to move their residency to the town of Guamuchil, Sinaloa. At twenty three years of age she bore her first child. God blessed the family with a total of eleven children, in order of birth; Celida, Esperanza, Leonor Olivia, Rene I, Rene II, Florentina, Noemi, Ruth, Leticia, Laura, Mavet, and Lucila. At the age of forty three years she became a grandmother for the first time. She had a total of thirty seven grandchildren. At the age of sixty two she became a great grandmother having a total of fifty great grandchildren. Lastly, at the age of 84, her one and only great-great grandson was born. She is survived by her daughters; Celida, Leonor Olivia, and her husband, Apolonio Lopez, Florentina and her husband, Jesus Lopez, Noemi, and her husband, Heriberto Borjorquez, Leticia, and her husband, Efrain Gaxiola, Laura and her husband, Alfredo Lopez, Mavet, and her husband, Miguel Gamez, Lucila, and her husband, Oscar Salazar; Daughter in law, Susana Gaxiola. She is proceeded in death by; her husband of 65 years, Miguel Rafael Gaxiola; son, Rene R. Gaxiola; and daughter, Ruth G. Guerrero. Florentina is survived by 37 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, an example of four generations, we celebrate your life and the legacy you have left. A visitation will be held Friday February 22nd, 2013 from 6:00-7:00 p.m with the Christian Celebration immediately following at 7:00 p.m at South Valley Apostolic Church, 1242 Atrisco Dr. S.W. 87105. A Christian Burial Service will be held Saturday February 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Siendo la octava de los hijos de la Familia Rodríguez Alarid. Cuando la pequeña Florentina tenia escasamente un año de edad se la llevaron a vivir a algunas poblaciones y ciudades del estado de Sinaloa. Termino viviendo por veinte años en el pueblo de Angostura, Sinaloa, México. A la edad de 21 años conocié� a un joven llamado Miguel Rafael Gaxiola. La pareja contrajo nupcias el día 30 de octubre de 1943 en Angostura, Sinaloa. A ella no se le permitio irse con su esposo hasta dias dspues como era la cosumbre familiar, ya que su madre le decia a su nuevo esposo cada vez que se despedian: "Como quieren que no me duela que se lleven a mi hija? Si no es un manojo de pasto!" La pareja de recién casados se fueron a residir en el pueblo de El Salitre, Sinaloa y después a Guam&uacutechil, Sinaloa. A los 23 años dio a luz por primero vez a su primera hija. Dios bendijo a la pareja con un total de once hijos llamados por orden de nacimiento Celida Esperanza, Leonor Olivia, Rene Ia� , Rene IIa� , Florentina, Noemí, Rutha� , Leticia, Laura, Mavet y Lucila.A la edad de 43 años se convirtié� en abuela por primera vez, hasta llegar a tener 36 nietos. A los 62 años fue bisabuela hasta llegar a tener 50 bisnietos. Por ultimo, a la edad de 84 años nacié� su primer y &uacutenico tataranieto.Madre, abuela, bisabuela, tatarabuela, ejemplo de cuatro generaciones, celebramos hoy tu vida y el legado que nos has dejado.�TODA TU DESENDENCIA TE AMAMOS!
