Florence M. (Hinsman) Clark-Kottal

September 30, 1925 — June 7, 2017

Florence M. Clark-Kottal, 91, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was born in Racine, Wisconsin on September 30, 1925, to the late Abigail and William Hinsman. Florence was united in marriage to Ernest Clark on July 23, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1969. She is survived by their two sons, Gary (Mary) Clark of Placitas, NM and Gregory Clark of Rio Rancho, NM and granddaughters Colleen (David) Brand of Los Angeles, CA and Katie Clark of Midlothian, VA. She is further survived by multiple nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends in New Mexico and Wisconsin. She was later united in marriage to Lawrence Kottal on October 26, 1991. He passed away on January 9, 1997.Florence was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ewens, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim (Mary) Ewens and Emil (Lydia) Clark.Florence was employed at Racine Journal Times for about 2 years. She later worked at CRB Insurance Company for 20 years until her retirement in 1990. She volunteered in various ministries, including St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry and at St. Paul the Apostle Parish. Florence was a member of Ladies Racine Moose #631 and enjoyed playing in multiple card clubs. Florence had many happy memories of friends in Racine.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St, Racine WI on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held in the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass. Florence will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Racine.
