Florence Betty Brooks

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend to all, Florence Betty Brooks went home to the Lord on February 5, 2015. She was 96 years young. She was cherished by friends and family and will be forever in our hearts. She is survived by her son Albert C. Brooks and daughter-in-law, Diane Brooks of Houston, TX, their children Clay Brooks of Houston, TX and Shannon and Justin Farrell of Dallas, TX. Her daughter Cheryl Smith of Albuquerque, NM and her daughter Angela Pender and fiancAC., Joseph Dautevil of Albuquerque, NM. She has two great grandchildren, Brooks and Henry Farrell of Dallas, TX. Florence is preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Brooks (they were married 59 years and 11 months), her nephew Mark Harrison and her parents Camillo and Mary (Lorenzo) Arrighetti. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Mados, her brother-in law Don Harrison and nephew Mike Harrison. She was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM and moved to Houston, TX in 2013 to be near her son and his family. She was very active with the Senior Centers in Albuquerque, painting, line and belly dancing in the 1970s and 1980s and later loved to play bingo. She was lucky in love when she met Howard Groves in 2004 at the Senior Center, who later passed away in 2013. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming.
