Flora P. Padilla

Flora P. Padilla passed away peacefully at her home on December 2, 2021.  Flora is survived by her children, Richard Padilla, Danny Padilla and wife, Janet, Sheryl Padilla, Earl’s wife, Janice Simpson and husband, Jeff, JoAnn McCallister and husband, Danny, Yvette Roney and husband, Marvin.  She is also survived by her sister, Nica Chavez.  Flora is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Padilla, who passed away, November 2, 2015, and she lost her son, Earl Padilla, December 5, 2021.

Flora was born in San Acacia, NM on June 1, 1919, to Adrian Pino and Mariellita Luna-Pino.  She was born into a family of nine children, Flora Grande, Ne’, Antonio, Flora (mom), Marcella, Veronica, Nica, Petrita and Artudo, better know as Tudy.  Flora was a devoted wife and mother.  The love for her family was demonstrated by the commitment and interaction she had with her family.  She loved getting together to cook, dance, camp, play games, as well as doing all the puzzles in the paper.  Mom passes on a life well lived that of integrity, commitment, and dedication.

Well mom, thank you for being brave, strong, courageous, and fearless, we know God was with you.  As the saying goes, “Vaya con Dios,” go with God, we will see you again.
