Finola Fern Perry

Finola Fern Perry-Goldston, age 35, loving mother, daughter, niece, cousin, and friend, was called to heaven on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, to be with her Savior Jesus Christ.

Finola was a truly selfless and beautiful soul. She was very caring, full of love for others, and that showed through her work at Lovelace Medical Center where she worked as a nurse for 13 years. She loved her job and excelled at it, becoming the youngest charge Nurse in the Neurology Unit. Her education included attendance at NMMI and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing from 2013-2015, and an Associates of Science in Nursing: Apollo College, 2004-2007. Her accomplishments also included BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification, NIH Stroke scale Certification, Foundations of Leadership Completion, Fundamental Critical Care Certification (FCC), Daisy Nurse Award Nominee, and New Mexico Nursing Excellence Award Nominee.  She left a legacy of love to all of her friends who adored her, supported her, and stood by her throughout the precious time she was given to us.

She absolutely loved the outdoors, spending her free time fishing, snowboarding, hiking, and camping. She often spoke of how much she enjoyed spending time in God’s creation. She also gave of herself to many charities such as United Way, the Ronald McDonald House and too many others to mention. She often gave of what she had to the homeless and fed them during many holidays.

Finola is survived by her amazing son, Tristan (Rylee); mother Karen Goldston, and father Darin Goldston (Dana); her sister Ashley Tudesque, Brother Gunnar Oleson, step-brothers Ty and Zack, her precious dog “Libby”, and many other family members including her grandparents Richard and Pauline Perry, Uncles Ken (Diana), David, and Joe Perry, Aunt Donna Betzner, nephew Bradley Tudesque, and her cousins, Damara, Matthew, Christiana, Dyanna, Julia and Logan.

The family would also like to thank all of her Lovelace and UNM Medical Team and Staff who cared for her.

A Celebration of Finola’s amazing and beautiful life will be held at a later date.
