Filadelfio Ulibarri (Phil, Mr. U.), 92, went home to be with his Lord and Savior March 18, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Eustacia G.; his two sons, Lawrence Ulibarri (John), John Ulibarri (Margi); grandson, Derek Highhouse (Kylie); and a special friend of the family, Richard Brunetto.
Phil was a government retiree. He was a World War II veteran in the US Navy. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church as well as St. Francis Xavier and a member of St. Vincent De Paul Society. He loved volunteering and helping people whenever he was needed. Phil had a great sense of humor and everyone who knew him loved him. He was very generous to his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Viewing will be on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. with Rosary being recited at 10:00 a.m. and Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier, 820 Broadway Blvd. SE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier. Pallbearers will be Derek Highhouse, Tommy Gallegos, Augustin Torres, Billy Mayer, Mike Montoya, and Max Jaramillo. Honorary Pallbearers are Florentino Torres, David Torres, Jose Garcia, and Joe A. Garcia. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, March 26, 2:15 p.m.
