Fidel Sena

Fidel Sena, beloved and treasured "Papa" passed away peacefully in his sleep, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the age of 99. Fidel was born in Sena, NM on December 15, 1922 to Pablo and Vitalia Sena. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 1/2 years, Katie, and his parents Pablo and Vitalia Sena. He is survived by his children, Mabel (Joe), Richard (Sue), Sylvia (Mike); grandchildren, Joey(Lindsay), David (Mary), Steven (Laura), Daniel and Elise; brother Joe Sena (Bessie) of Santa Fe; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Fidel served in the army during World War II in Okinawa and Philippines. He was a prominent rancher and livestock dealer. He enjoyed horseback riding and tending to his cattle. He was a man of infinite wisdom who loved and adored his family.

A visitation will be held at FRENCH - Lomas in the chapel on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

A rosary and a mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, January 24, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation, 2532 Vermont St. NE. Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

His grandchildren and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are; close friends Ron Fresolo and Jim Lockhart, close nephews; Ted Sena, Larry Sena, and Phillip Sena.

Fidel's family would like to thank caregiver, Janet Palacios, for her gentle care and compassion. Lastly, thank you to nephew and Deacon Pat Sena and wife Kerrie, who brought communion and spiritual support. Also niece, Barbara Valdez for her many gifts and prayers.
