Fidel E. Franco

FRANCO, FIDEL E. Age 86, of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014. He is survived by wife, Lorna Franco; sons, Michael (Denise) Franco, and James Franco; daughters, Yolanda (Bruce) Jones, Rosemary (Patrick) Beare, Roxanne Franco, Yvonne (Michael) Durant and Janet Franco; brother, Frank Franco; grandchildren, Marisa, Sara, Billy, Vanessa, Laura, Jenny, Patrick, Matthew, Jordan and Tara; great-grandchildren, Christian, Tyler, Elijah, Aunaleese and Violet; and honorary daughter, Carolyn Acree. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen M. Gutierrez; his first wife, Nancy; and sisters, Evangeline Griego and Lilly Pompa. He was a wonderful father and husband. We will miss his great sense of humor and quick wit. He served his country in the Army in WWII. Later, he worked for Trans World Airlines for 33 1/2 years. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, January 15, 2014, 9:00 a.m., St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW, with a reception to follow.
