Perea, Fermiño Ernesto "Fermin" (1939 - 2013)Age 73, passed away suddenly at his home on January 7, 2013. He was born on June 10, 1939 and was raised in the South Valley area of Albuquerque. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1958. He was drafted into the Army and proudly served his country from 1961-1965. Fermin worked for the New Mexico Department of Labor for 29 years side by side with his wife Corrine and they both enjoyed a wonderful retirement since 1988. Fermin was preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years, Corrine (Ortiz) Perea, his parents and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sons, James (Jennifer) of Albuquerque, and Stephen of San Ramon, CA; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Stephen, Madison and Damian Perea of CA, Sabrina Salisbury, Brandon Lopez and Dylan Perea of Albuquerque; brothers; Ben (Liz) and Clovis (Candy) Perea, and sisters; Beatrice Cisneros and Dolores Lopez of Albuquerque, Rita (Luis) Duarte of Tucson, AZ as well as many nephews, nieces and God-children. Pallbearers are: Stephen Perea Jr., Adrian Jaramillo, Lee Perea, Ron Poindexter, Jim Hilber and Daniel Harmount. Fermin will always be remembered as a voice and a hand of encouragement to those who needed him. He was someone who went completely out of his way to help others. His faith and love for Jesus was transparent in his life. He will truly be missed. Visitation will be Monday, January 14, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. at FRENCH - Wyoming. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 10:00 am at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will follow at 2:15 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
