Felice Marcus Grad

GRAD--- Felice Marcus Grad, died on May 1, 2015. Born in Dayton, Ohio. She attended Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and graduated with B.A., B.S. and M.A. degrees in Education and romance Languages. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Lambda Theta, and Mortar Board honoraries. She worked in Paris, France and Lisbon, Portugal with the United states State Department. After her marriage to Jules Grad, she lived in Paris, and then accompanied him to posts in Latin America and Asia where she worked with the United states information Agency. She taught English in Guatemala, Burma (Myanmar) and the Dominican Republic. While Mr. Grad was stationed in Vietnam, she lived in Hong Kong where she taught French at the Hong Kong International School. A resident of Albuquerque since 1975, she substituted in the Albuquerque Public Schools for 12 years. After the death of her husband in 1989, she continued to do volunteer work, took courses at the University of New Mexico and traveled. She lived life to the fullest. Cremation has taken place and she will be interred next to her husband, Jules Grad, in Clifton Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Survivors include her sister, Pauline E.
