Felia P. Chavez

Felia P. Chavez, age 69, our family’s rock and “Sunshine” passed away Friday, May 4, 2018.

Felia is known for her unconditional love for her family and making the best Red Chile. Felia enjoyed shopping, dabbling with her artwork, and vacationing with her husband Ignacio.

She is survived by her loving husband, Quirino Ignacio Chavez; her children, Edrica McGuire and husband, G.T., Patricia Gallegos, Julia Rivera and husband, Daniel, Patrick Chavez and wife, Sandy, and Philip Chavez; her grandchildren, Yvette, Eric, Angela, Angelina, Vanessa, Reina, Alexander, Jasmine, Samantha, Joshua, Sierra, and Jonathon; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Gloria Sanchez and husband, Gilbert, Violanda McGill and husband, Perry; and brother, Alonzo Sanchez and wife, Kenny. She also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Felia is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Julia Sanchez; brothers, Johnny, Albert, and Roman.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, May 13, 2018, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the Rosary to follow, 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. A Mass will be Celebrated Monday, May 14, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
