Age 99, of Albuquerque, died on Friday, February 22, 2013. She is survived by her son, Larry Milton and wife Suzanne of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Ovana "Cookie" and husband Tyler Slocumb; and daughter, Pam Felker (Gary, deceased) of Albuquerque. She also leaves eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and her remarkable team of caregivers. Born August 28, 1913 in Frankfurt, KY, she was the daughter of Earl Lee and Mary Anna Duke Lee. She spent her childhood in Russell, KY, and married the late James Albert Milton (Col, USAF, Ret) on April 27, 1935. Fannie was an active military wife and mother. She made 37 moves, settling in Albuquerque in 1961. As a military wife, Fannie volunteered for the Red Cross and Family Services, and was a Grey Lady at the Veteran's hospital. She volunteered at All Faith's Receiving Home and was a long-time member at St. Aiden's/St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Her hobbies included sewing, painting, doll collecting, and gardening. She planted a rose bush each place she moved. She shared her love of dogs with her children and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 1, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1500 Chelwood Park Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's, All Faith's Receiving Home, or a local animal rescue.
