Evelyn Neal

Evelyn Neal, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque for over 45 years, died Saturday, May 31, 2014. She is survived by her children, Marie Neal and partner, Judy Vratil and Richard Neal, all of Albuquerque; and many friends. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Neal. She was born in 1932 in Burnett, TX to Chris and Jewell and after graduation Evelyn was working in El Paso, where she met and married "Lew." They were transferred several times, finally settling in Albuquerque. She worked for the federal government until her retirement. Evelyn loved flowers, pets, and animals and was a watercolor artist. She was a devoted member of her church, Sombra Del Monte Christian Church. Evelyn was a loving mother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sombra Del Monte Christian Church, 2525 Vermont St. NE, 87110.
