Evelyn Lee Collins went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 20, 2016. We, her children, Cheri Eckart and husband Mike, Steven Collins and wife Danette, Jan Houle and husband Andre; grandchildren, Danielle Eckart Sorte, Elyse Eckart, Scot Collins and Tim Houle; and great-grandchildren, will always cherish the memory of our wonderful mom and grandma, who loved and encouraged us in our life journeys.
She was "always there." Evelyn and her husband, Tom Collins (who passed in 2004) were longtime residents of Albuquerque; and partners in life, business, and Christian ministry through their 57-year marriage. She delighted in her family, also enjoying her roses, painting and crafting. Evelyn was especially known for being a classy, beautiful lady with a captivating smile and indomitable spirit. She was loved by all who knew her. We'll miss you, Mom.
