Eufemia Bustamante

Eufemia Bustamante, 93, passed away January 13, 2019.

She is survived by her son, James "J" Bustamante; daughter, Juanita Prewitt; and many extended family members, including her loving cousins Lita and Walter Chavez. She is also survived by her numerous friends and the staff of Morningstar Assisted Living who lovingly cared for her. Femia was preceded in death by her husband, Jim and her parents, Eugenio and Emilia Esquibel.

Born in La Joya, NM she met and married Jim Bustamante in Santa Fe after he served our country during WW II.  They moved to Los Alamos, NM where she was active in the Catholic Church and the community. Upon retiring they moved back to Santa Fe where Jim passed away in 2009.  Femia then moved to Albuquerque to be near her children.

A Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 31, 2019, 6:00 p.m.. at FRENCH - Lomas.  Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, February 1, 2019, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE. Private Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
