Ethel Lydia (Larisch) Garcia

Ethel Ingeborg Lydia Garica, 88, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 22, 2021 at her residence in Rio Rancho, NM after a brave battle with kidney failure.  Ethel was born April 10, 1932 to Paul and Margarete Larisch in Berlin, Germany.  She was united in marriage to Frank Garcia for over 12 years.  Ethel led a life of adventure.  She lived and traveled all over the world and held various jobs and numerous hobbies throughout her life.  Ethel was a caring and dedicated mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend who loved, treasured and embraced every moment with family and friends.  Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Sonja and Darrell Green; and her brother, Harry Larisch.  Ethel is lovingly survived by her husband, Frank Garcia; daughter, Teresa (Teri) Linzmeier and husband Bruce; nieces, Sandy Smith and husband Glen Canova and daughter Nicole Smith; Sharon Wilson, husband Carey, their children, Krystine Van Winkle and Scott Wilson; all of her loving-in-laws of Frank Garcia’s family; as well as friends that were like sisters, Tilli Golby and Helga Rossner; and innumerous friends.  Private burial will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
