Esther Leonla Baca

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Esther Leonla Baca born on September 7, 1952, in Socorro, New Mexico. Esther left this world on Sunday, March 16, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Esther was a beautiful soul both inside and out. She loved life fiercely and lived every moment with Grace laughter, and a little bit of stubbornness that made her unforgettable. To know her was to love her. She had a way of making everyone she met smile and leaving a mark on their hearts.

Family was everything to Esther. Esther is survived by her devoted husband, Albert Baca of 51 years; her daughters, Kellyann Sanchez and Nicole Baca, husband Brian Baca, and her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan, Jontel, Justin, Suriah, Sienah and Brian who were the light of her life and sister, Lugie Gonzalez.

Esther had a passion for dancing, a laugh that filled every room and a heart bigger than words can describe. She taught us the meaning of love, strength, and loving life to the fullest.

Her beauty, kindness, and unforgettable spirit will live on in all of who were lucky enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed and never forgotten

A Rosary will be held on Monday, April 7th, 10:15 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. The burial service will follow at 12:30 p.m., at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque. The reception will follow at the Moose Lodge 1212 Edith Blvd. NE.
