ERVIN DALE CLOVERBeloved son, brother, nephew and uncle was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at age 56 after a battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Pamela Sue Argetsinger and Carolyn Kaye Gwinn. Dale is survived by his parents, Robert and Marlene Clover of Belen, NM; brother, Bobby Clover of Belen; brother-in-law, Mark Gwinn of Belen; sister, Connie Brown and her husband, Bill Brown of Los Lunas, NM; and many, many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Dale was born in Alamosa, CO on September 11, 1956, but spent most of his youth in Arizona. Dale moved to New Mexico in 1971 and has made it his home ever since. A hardworking man dedicated to his family, Dale made his living driving a truck for his parents' trucking company, Clover, Incorporated. Dale's career and passion for adventure took him through every state in the country, as well as Canada and Mexico. Dale had many driving achievements, including Driver of the Month by the New Mexico Motor Carriers Safety Council. Among his hobbies, Dale loved to spend time at his family's cabin in Colorado, watching any and all kinds of movies, and of course, working on and riding his pride and joy, his Big Dog motorcycle. He loved riding his motorcycle with his brother, Bobby, and took many road trips, including a couple trips to Sturgis. Dale was first diagnosed with cancer at age 25 and against all odds, beat it. He remained cancer-free for 29 years and loved participating in the Relay for Life events. Dale was a believer of the Lord and was baptized in August of 2012. He was known for his caring heart and generous nature. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it and all acquaintances quickly became friends. Dale was a blessing to all who knew him and was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away." A visitation will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at French - University Chapel in Albuquerque. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, 10:00 am at French - University Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
