Ernestine M. Arguello

Ernestine M. Arguello, age 90, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Excelsa Marquez; husband, Ramon Arguello; brother, Albert Marquez, and son Dean Arguello. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Arndt and Dorleen Arguello; her son, Donald Arguello; her grandsons, Gabriel and Ivan Chavez, and granddaughter, Shelby Ramos and husband Andres.

Ernestine was a fun-loving, warm-hearted mother, grandmother, and aunt who loved her family dearly and those she considered family. She was an excellent cook and baker who would never let you leave hungry.
She was born in Dilia, NM in 1932 where she was also raised. Ernestine met and married Ramon in 1952. They raised their family in Albuquerque. She worked at the University of New Mexico Biology Department for 20 years.

Ernestine loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 9:30 a.m., with a Mass at 10:00 a.m., Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE - Albuquerque, NM 87109.
A private burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gabriel Chavez, Andre Padilla, Charlie Bell, Dominic Bell, Andres Ramos, and Steve Arndt. The Honorary Pallbearer will be Ivan Chavez.
