Erminda Maria Mitchell

Erminda "Mindy" Maria Mitchell, nee Martinez, fell asleep to the Lord on February 25th, 2021. She was born in Tierra Amarilla, NM to Juanita and Nestor Martinez.

After graduating high school, she moved to Albuquerque and attended St. Joseph's College on the Rio Grande. She began her career in 1957, as a Document Classification Analyst for the Department of Defense/ Defense Nuclear Agency. She met her husband of 56 years, Dennis, while working at Kirtland Air Force Base. They raised their two children in Albuquerque. She was a caring spouse, dedicated mother, and loving grandmother. She was a long time, active member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. She enjoyed rounds of golf with her many friends and acquaintances, tending to the roses in her garden, cooking and baking for family and friends, and was completely devoted to her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Maguin, Lenore, Beatrice, Olivia, and Adrian. She is survived by her husband Dennis, children Denise Moedl (Bobby Moedl) and Patrick Mitchell (Kendra Mitchell); grandchildren Miriam Mitchell, Ryan Moedl, Sean Mitchell, Evan Moedl, and Bridget Mitchell, brother Jose Martinez (Charlotte) of Bend OR., as well as sisters-in-law, Margaret Martinez and Stella Martinez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be recited at French – WYOMING on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Due to COVID-19 restriction, attendance is limited to family only. A link to pray the Rosary with us in the privacy of your own home can be found below.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. 2532 Vermont St NE, Albuquerque.

Mindy will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
