Erminda A. Gonzales

April 21, 1937 - August 23, 2013, 76, longtime resident of Albuquerque, went to be with Jesus on Friday, August 23, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Eugene Gonzales; children, Lawrence Gonzales, Alonzo Gonzales, Demetrius Gonzales, Denise Vargas and her husband, George, and Jeffery Gonzales and his wife, Roxanne; grandchildren, Vanessa Padilla, Priscilla Gutierrez and her husband, Anthony, Eugene Gonzales, Daniel Baca, David Gonzales, Peter Baca and his wife, Monique, Joshua Gonzales, Mellory Baca, Josiah Gonzales, Lawrence Gonzales, Mariah Gonzales, Jeremiah Gonzales, Jazlie Gonzales, and Jonas Gonzales; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Flora Archuleta, Frances Sanchez, Olivia Partido and husband, Bob, Ernesto Aragon and his wife, Helen, and Chris Aragon; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gonzales was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Maria Aragon and siblings, Thomas Aragon, Ted Aragon, Eloy Aragon, Nina Lucero, and Alicia Lovato. Erminda was born to Rafael and Maria Aragon in Cuba, NM where she spent her early years until marrying Eugene on October 15, 1960. They were quickly blessed with five children. Erminda proudly worked for the Bernalillo County Assessors Office for 25 years retiring in 2012. She enjoyed spending time with family, watching Little League Baseball, growing plants and farming, going to church, sewing and crocheting, and cooking and eating. She had a very light-hearted and fun personality. Her laugh was contagious. She will be remembered as a loving wife, amazing mom, and wonderful grandma.
