Erlinda Josephine Seegers Duran

Erlinda Josephine Seegers (nee Duran), born May 7, 1939, to Jose Saloman Duran and Juanita Emilia Chavez in Ocate New Mexico, died peacefully at home and surrounded by family on February 6, 2025. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Albert Seegers of Appleton Wisconsin, Eldest Son Keith Seegers and Barbara Spear, Daughters Kim, Kelli, and Lisa with Son in Law Brian Griesmeyer, and youngest Son James Seegers and Lucinda Benavides. Erlinda loved and was loved by her grandchildren Amber, Nichole, Dakota, Abby, Kelsi, Sasha, Rose and Martin. She is survived by her great grandchildren Robert, Isaac, Xavier, and Ava. She is also survived by her brother, Carlos Duran and Sister-in-Law Priscilla Duran, Sister Dinah Duran and Brother-in-Law Manuel Duran. She was from a traditional ranching family that valued hard work and Christian Faith. She had her last rites given and is now resting peacefully with her late son Albert, her Parents, Brothers, Sisters, Family and Friends. She attended Springer High School and Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM. She got a job as a Physical Education Teacher in Palmdale California and met the love of her life, Jack. She had many wonderful years raising a family in Palmdale California and Albuquerque New Mexico. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing video poker, and enjoyed good food and good desserts. When she was younger, she enjoyed playing sports and being outdoors. In her later years, her and her husband traveled and enjoyed many wonderful evenings sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful New Mexico weather and seasons. She will be missed by her family and will be remembered for the rest of our lives for her strength and beauty.

 Services will be provided at FRENCH- Lomas on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Followed by a reception. The interment will be at Santa Fe National Memorial, on a future date.
