Erlinda "Celine" Baca

Erlinda "Celine" Baca, 91, passed away October 20, 2024.

Celine was born on September 24, 1933 to Rafael and Remelia Baca in Bosque, New Mexico. She was born into a very large family, however, she was raised by her Uncle and Aunt in Belen, New Mexico. Celine graduated from Belen High School and went on to work in several banks until she began her career in finance. In 1996, Celine retired from Sandia National Laboratory.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen DeBenedittis (Kevin) and Steve Cummins (Shawna). She also has 9 grandchildren: Alan DeBenedittis (Wipaporn), Thomas DeBenedittis (Katie), Rachel DeBenedittis, Andrew DeBenedittis (Baylee), Daniel DeBenedittis (Lola), Victoria Cummins (Nicholas), Cade Cummins, Megan Cummins, and Stephanie Cummins. She also has 4 great-grandchildren: Reed, Ezekiel, Parker and Harrison DeBenedittis. She is also survived by her sister Mary Tearnan and Isaias Baca as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Celine had a passion for traveling, country western dancing, and spending time with her large family. Celine's love for the Lord Jesus Christ was apparent in everything she did and the positive advice she would give on everyday life challenges exemplifying "love thy neighbor.

Services will be held at FRENCH-Lomas on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 5:00 pm with a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to an Alzheimers organization of your choice in honor of Erlinda Celine Baca.
