Erick Shawn "Turtle" Robinson

Our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and coworker left this world on August 15, 2013 at the age of 44. Erick was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. He graduated from Eldorado High School and the University of New Mexico. Erick was employed by REI where he made many special friends. Erick will be remembered as a very gentle soul who always enjoyed being with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Margaret Robinson and L. Vernon and Elma Baker. He is survived by his parents Frank and Dinah Robinson; sisters Tammy and husband, Donn Halliburton, and Joy and husband, Adam Collins of Virginia; nieces Danelle, Mikayah and husband, Andrew Dazsi, Bethany and Brittany Halliburton, and Cora and Tessa Collins; nephews Nathan, Nicholas and Jacob Halliburton; aunts Kathy and husband, Steve Kuehn, Nancy and husband, Steve Neel; uncles Gary and wife, Patsy Baker, and John and wife, Barbara Baker; and numerous cousins and friends. He loved his dogs Abbey and Logan, and his cats Max and Guinness. Erick was an avid rock climber and Dallas Cowboys fan, he enjoyed being with his friends camping and playing darts on Tuesday nights. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas, and a reception will follow from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered over the mountains he loved. Memorial donations can be made to any animal rescue group.
