Eric A. Sanchez, age 50, an award winning local home designer, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017. Eric was a life-long resident of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho and a member of the Saint Pius X Class of 1984. He had an esteemed career that started with Sivage-Thomas Homes, then as a Vice President of Product Design at D.R. Horton Homes, and later with Sanchez Design Group. Eric was known for his kindness and respectfulness of others, as well as for meticulously detailed home designs, his love of golf, and his loyalty to family and the Dallas Cowboys.

Eric is survived by his loving wife, Deby Sanchez. He is also survived by his mother, Terri Sanchez; brothers, Franklin (in Georgia), Paul, and Earl (Ronnie) and his wife, Rossemary Garcia-Castro (in Vermont). Also touching his life were his nephew/godson Sebastian A. Sanchez; his nieces, Zoe Alessandra Sanchez, Nicole Celardo and Melissa Bromley (in Arizona); brother-in-law, John Celardo; and sister-in-law, Lourdes Moscoso-Alvarez; along with his beloved German Shepard, Shelby. Eric also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Eric was preceded in death by his father, Albert Sanchez in 2014.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 619 Copper Ave. NW, beginning with a Rosary at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at Mt.
