Captain (Ret.) Eric W. Krieger of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on Sunday October 18th at the age of 80. Born in Miami Florida on March 24, 1941. Eric is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Lynda A. Krieger, son Eric and daughter Melissa and brother Derek Krieger.
Eric was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, class of 1963, earning a degree in Nuclear Engineering. He went on to attend the Navy's Nuclear Power School, then on to the Naval Submarine School before serving in in the Navy's Submarine Fleet for 26 years in both Pacific and Atlantic fleets. After achieving the rank of Captain, Eric served aboard the USS Daniel Webster and USS Andrew Jackson. Before retiring, he also served as Chief Staff Officer and Nuclear Weapons and Development Officer. After leaving the Navy, Eric then went on to work for Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was a true hero, a loving husband, father, and great friend.

A rosary will take place at 10:00am, on Friday, November 5, 2021, with mass to follow at 10:30am, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE. Interment will take place at 10:30am on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
