Epolito (Paul) López

Epolito (Paul) López, 68, beloved father and husband, was called to his eternal resting place on September 15, 2017. He entered this world on November 22, 1948 in Abo, NM. He served in the Navy from 1967-1971 including two tours in Vietnam. He continued his service to our country throughout his distinguished career at Los Alamos National Laboratories from which he retired in 2004. He was a gifted musician and singer; his music fed the hearts and souls of his family, friends, and the community at large.

He is survived by his wife, Dorotha (Dolly); his daughter, Rebecca López and son-in-law, Tony Poole; his son, Donald López and daughter-in-law, Denise Lucero-López; his son, Steven López and daughter-in-law, Jessica López; ten adoring grandchildren, Kaleigh, Amanda, Isaiah, Isabella, Anthony, Aidan, Elise, Ryan, Gavin, and Tristan López. He is also survived by six siblings; and leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE in Albuquerque, NM.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE in Albuquerque, NM.

Military Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 9:45 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St. Santa Fe, NM. Memorial donations may be made to Hope for Heroes https://heroeshope.org in the name of Epolito (Paul) López.
