Emma (Amy) Marquis

Emma (Amy) Marquis, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019. Emma was born on March 21, 1921 in Colorado’s San Luis Valley and moved to New Mexico in 1951. While in Albuquerque, she ran concessions at various bowling lanes, worked for the Gas Company, Electrolux Company, and Fox Photo.

She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She is survived by daughters, Brigid Lapp (Jerry) and Lisa Archibald; sons, Rick (Marge) and Walt (Shelia), all of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Lori Bacoccini, Tammy Hubbard (Ken), Michael Opstedal, David Marquis (Tina), Amy Stuhrenberg, Kevin Lapp (Roxane), Patrick Ryan and Nicholas Archibald; adopted granddaughter, Sharla O’Connell; eleven great-grandchildren, Shawn (Tiffany) and Kyle Bacoccini, Jason Sellers, Brandy Porter (Clayton), Lauren and Jacob Sellers, Tana Angel (Josh), Sarah Redford (Sean) and Reed, Ewan and Azada Stuhrenberg; eleven great-great-grandchildren, Jordan Bacoccini, Ethan and Landon Sellers, Logan, Lillian and Eliza Porter, Liam Bacoccini, Anastacia and Anthony Angel, Hailey and Riley Redford; four sisters, Tina of Antonito, CO., Anna of Colorado Springs, CO., Stella of Dewey, AZ, one brother, Walter (Martha) of Bothell, WA; sister-in-law, Gloria of Colorado City, CO; other family members, Sunny, Michelle, Angelica; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Ben Chaves; three sisters, Mary, Ruth, and Lucille; and daughter, Ann Patrick.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at French - Wyoming.  Entombment at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
