Emma V. Griego
July 25, 1926 — December 11, 2017
Emma Griego, 91, beloved mother and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on December 11, 2017. She entered this world on July 25, 1926 in Sierra Madre, CA, born to Joseph and Latuaria Garcia and raised by Pablo and Guadalupe Vallejos. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nefi B. Griego; son, Michael P. Griego and granddaughter, Jocelyn Anglada-Curran. Emma is survived by her children, Rosemary Baca, Yvonne Aguilar, Lou Curran, Annette Griego-Shaw (Frank), Nefi B. Griego, Jr. (Donna) and JoAnn Ortega (Larry). She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at FRENCH – Westside. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:15 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery where she will join her husband, Nefi B. Griego.
